DIE WANDERUNG

Vertixe Sonora

FREE ENTRANCE UNTIL CAPACITY

Die Wanderung, 2016-17 for 5 instruments and electronics (Kompositionsstipendium 2015 by the Department of Culture of the city of Berlin) is a six-part cycle in which space is explored as a component, a parameter of the sound material. In the first three pieces (solo accordion, tenor saxophone and chelo, with live electronics) each musician proposes a material that will be “read” and analyzed in real time by the electronics that simultaneously develops a double instrumental sound. In the second set (flute and harp soles and the final work from the whole to the full), the instrumentalists listen through electronic headphones the electronic transformations of the first three works and reinterpret them. In Die Wanderung (roaming, migration), Lula Romero proposes a continuous dialogue of interpretations between score, interpreters and live electronics, where “real” does not exist but is created as it is interpreted and reinterpreted, developing a complex framework in What material, structure and work are being developed and modified continuously.
